Feb 17, 2013 Yeah, but some of them -- like the Line AutoShape tool -- still don't work as custom additions to a toolbar. Keyboard shortcuts won't work for the broken ones either. Even the Line tools in the Lines dropdown are munged. It's' been that way since day 1. For the ultimate in precision control of your lines and shapes, right-click or Control-click your line or shape and then choose Edit Points from the pop-up menu. Each click you made when drawing the line displays as a point. Right-click a point to display the Edit Points menu. You get the same menu when working with a line or a shape. Draw with the flowchart shapes to illustrate a process, or use the freeform line and shape to create your own images. Note: These directions work for all PC versions of Word (from Word 2010 to Word 2016) and Word for Mac. Word 2011 for mac draw straight lines freeform tooltip.
